We will go to the north sector of the island, our hosts Sonia and Armando who will wait for us with a delicious breakfast in their rural home, the first agrotourism of Chepu, they are dedicated to the production of artisan cheeses and activities of the Chilote countryside, to reach Chepu we will travel surrounded by forests of Ulmos for 1 hour, we continue towards the bay of Puñihuil, a town in which approximately 250 people live and its economy is based on tourism and artisanal fishing, where we will enjoy a 35-minute navigation to the Islets of Puñihuil declared a natural monument in 1999, they give home to communities of Humboldt and Magellanic Penguins from September to March, you can also see different types of birds such as Franklin´s Gaviota, Pilpilen and Austral Gaviota. We will have lunch with our hosts Katja and Pedro, who together with their family offer us a gastronomic sample in their restaurant on the p spade. Upon returning we will pass through Ancud, the capital of the island in colonial times and the city with the greatest European influence within the island, walking through its streets, we will visit Moncho, a sculptor who works with cancagua stone, a material of volcanic origin, used in construction. of Spanish forts and ovens, if time permits we will also visit the Friends of the Churches Museum and the San Antonio fort.
