Isla Lemuy or Isla Ballena as its islanders call it because of its distinctive shape, is the third largest island in the Chiloé archipelago with almost 100 kmtwo, will delight us with beautiful natural landscapes, fine sand beaches, fishing villages and its wooden churches. Before entering this wonderful island we will visit the city of Chonchi, our first stop, the Spanish settlers called it "The End of America" as it was the southernmost city that they had conquered in the eighteenth century, it displays its architectural and cultural heritage in 3 natural terraces that reach the border at the highest level of the city we will visit its church recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, in the middle level we will visit its interesting museums and at the lowest level we will visit its new waterfront and its artisan fair where we will be able to taste typical preparations such as the "gold liquor" and the "chonchinas roscas", we will cross wide fields for 1 hour until we reach Chonchi and then cross by ferry to Lemuy Island, we will visit the 3 world heritage churches located in Ichuac , Aldachildo and Detif picturesque villages that keep the essence of Chiloé alive, we will walk through native forest trails and meet our people. The hosts Flor and Juan, who await us in their kitchen with a delicious gastronomic sample of the area, before returning we will visit beaches of fine sand and interesting viewpoints to say goodbye to the island and return to the hotel.
