The Isla Grande de Chiloé is separated from the mainland by the Chacao channel and the Andes Mountains by an inland sea that extends for 160 kilometers to the south. To the west is the Pacific Ocean, the Chiloé National Park and to the east we find extensive fields of green hills with unique landscapes that surprise for their flora, native forests and calm waters in the Bordemar.
OCIO is located in the Rilán Peninsula, a captivating rural sector in front of the city of Castro, separated by the Castro Fjord, a place that invites you to immerse yourself in the traditions and rural life of Chiloé. We are just 30 minutes by car (21 Km / 13 Mi) from the City of Castro, the third oldest city in Chile; world renowned for its stilt houses, its World Heritage Churches and for being the gateway to insular Patagonia. We are also very close to Dalcahue, only 26 minutes by car (21 Km / 12.9 Mi), a town that is characterized and recognized among other things for its crafts and cooks that rescue old recipes to share and taste with visitors.
